Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery

Near the Dutch town of Groesbeek a Canadian war cemetery is maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Since the end of The Second World War some 2629 fallen soldiers lie here to rest in the burial field. The majority of these soldiers and in fact 2339 come from Canada. Of the soldiers here lying buried 267 come from England and a several come from various other countries.

Holten Canadian War Cemetery 

   

At the Holterberg near the village of Holten a Canadian military cemetery was erected at the end of the Second World War. The area where this gravesite was created was, as in other similar situations, then declared Canadian national territory. Next to the 1355 Canadians also 36 British, 2 Australians and 1 Belgian have found their final resting place in this cemetery. Recently an information Centre, lying directly next to the cemetery, was officially opened by H.R.H. Princess Margriet. In the Centre, visitors are informed as to everything concerning the adjacent cemetery.

Bergen op Zoom Canadian War Cemetery

The Canadian military cemetery located near Bergen op Zoom contains the graves of 1,115 fallen soldiers, of them 968 Canadians. The other casualties buried at this Canadian cemetery number 136 coming from Great Britain, 6 from New Zealand and 5 from Australia.
