The Netherlands Liberated in 1944/1945

Next Crown Year 2019/2020

Apeldoorn 17 April 2014

Every year on April 17 the people of Apeldoorn celebrates the liberation of the Second World War. This takes place during a memorial at “het sluisje” and a torchlight run by the school children of several primary schools in Apeldoorn. This torch is then used to lit a liberation fire in the Oranjepark. RCL Branch 005 has been present for some years at these events, so the history may sufficiently be well known. You can always look for details in the description of 2013. Important to note that in Apeldoorn young people are increasingly involved in this heritage, which it great.

Of course an impression of the atmosphere of this year is not withheld.
